Where it all started?
I had an idea for two years. I called it Chubby. It came from an honest place — I was thinking about the women who felt left out of beach fashion. The ones who walked onto the sand already apologising for how they looked. The ones who stood in a changing room, stared at a size label, and felt their confidence quietly leave.
I wanted to make beachwear that didn't punish you for your body. That came to you, instead of demanding you come to it. I sat with that idea. I kept turning it over. I didn't know yet what it would become.
And then I left it alone for a while. For two years, I carried the word Chubby in the back of my mind — unfinished, waiting for something to complete it.
The Moment That Changed Everything
Two years after the Chubby idea, my girlfriend entered my life. And something beautiful happened — she was happy. Genuinely, completely happy.
The kind of happy that shows up in your face, your laugh, the way you move through the world. And along with all of that happiness came what she called, laughing, love weight.
She stood in front of her wardrobe one afternoon and said it so simply it nearly broke my heart — 'my clothes don't fit me anymore.' Not with anger. Not with drama. Just a quiet, tired observation from a woman who had heard some version of that sentence her whole life.
I watched her try on six different things. Put them back. Try again. And that question I had been carrying for two years came rushing back — but louder this time, and with a completely different answer.

Why a Man Built This?
I have been asked this. I will probably be asked it again. Here is my honest answer: I built this because I paid attention. Because I watched the women around me pack three bags for a five-day beach trip and still feel like they had nothing to wear. Because I saw how much space clothing anxiety takes up inside a holiday that is supposed to feel free. Because I believed someone should solve this — and I had the skills, the obsession, and the stubbornness to try.
I am not designing for Indian women from a distance. I am designing with them in mind — listening, watching, building with women who have told me exactly what they wish existed. OneSize is their answer, made real.
The best thing I can do as the person behind this brand is stay out of the way of the clothes. Let the woman and the garment have their moment. My job was to make that moment possible.
